Heavy-duty is the category for Class 8 and other commercial trucks. Alientech's KESS3 page groups agriculture, trucks, and buses together, so tractors and farm equipment appear to fall under the heavy-duty license. Confirm with your reseller.
Cars and LCV typically covers light-duty diesel pickups such as the Ram 2500/3500, Silverado/Sierra HD, and Super Duty, but coverage is per model and ECU. Check Alientech's vehicle list for the exact truck first.
Yearly subscription renewal
After the first 12 months, a yearly subscription keeps protocol updates, support, and some functions active. Under the renewal policy introduced in March 2026:

The map-editing software (ECM Titanium) is licensed separately. Check current pricing with a reseller.
Counterfeit clones. Units sold at unusually low prices, or advertised as "no subscription needed," are counterfeits. Clones are known to brick ECUs partway through a write, can carry malware, and come with no support, updates, or warranty. Check any seller against the official reseller list on Alientech's website before buying.
